Software Design Doc and UI Mockups
By Austin Evans
Hello there! This is the first-week entree for the RepAdvisor. This week I was tasked to work on the part of a document called Software Design Document. The part I work was the priority on each of the things the app will do. Another thing I worked on this past week was starting a UI mockup for the app. I was given the rest timer and progress graph. As my effort for the document wasn't really important, the work on the UI was. This is the way I can add some detail to the app, something to look back on and say that I did that.
SO what did I do to accomplish these tasks, well for starters the Software Design Document, I work with my team trying to find out what is important and what can wait. For the UI Mockup, it was a little different. One of my team members gave us a template for what the app would look like. After that, I looked up timers and compare them to find the best one. Since we want to keep the design of the app to be clean and slick. Finding something that would fit the theme was a bit tricky. Though the graph I haven't figured out the rest timer is ready to go.
Although this week was pretty light on the blog, the more I do in this project, the more the blog will be longer and in more depth. If you would like to read my other teammate's blogs I'll add them below.
